My little cousin Harry graduated this last week from high school. I just can't believe my little guy is all grown up. I remember all the summers baby sitting him, watching him play ball, going to the Nat. I just love this kid! Almost all of my family was there to cheer him on. It was a fun fast weekend!

On Valentines day, our little Syd was baptized. She was so very excited to share her special day with her good buddy Max who was also baptized. I could tell she was a little nervous at first but after she came out of the water she said to me "Mom I can't believe I just got baptized, I am so proud"! We were so proud of her too!!!
Grandma and grandpa Roth came for the special day along with grandma and papa Wright and Aunt Amanda. Aunt Jenny broke her leg else she would have been here too.

My little princess is now 4! Where has the time gone? She is a spunky, fiesty, stuffed animal lover, crown wearing, horse rider, keeper of papa, chocolate loving, vocabulary girl, and boss of the house. She has been talking about her birthday for months now putting us on and off her birthday list (if she is mad at one of us), except for January that is. She all the sudden forgot about it, maybe christmas was enough for her. Seriously the months previous to January all we heard from her was about her party and how we had to have this and that and build this and invite this person, honestly non stop!!! The big day finally came and she looked at me and said, "I'm the boss today right mom?!" Too cute! We had a couple of friends over for cake. Not just any cake--coldstone ice cream cake---yummy!!! I love my little abbers!

Saturday afternoon we met up with some of our friends, the Shaws, for some fun family bowling. First of all when did 1 game of bowling cost $45? Hello can I say rip off!! The kids love to bowl so of course we fork out the dough. We all had a great time, I have to say though I choke under bowling pressure. I was in the lead up until the last frame and out of no where Jeff Shaw smokes me!!!! If it weren't so expensive I would have made him play me again! Afterwards we ate at Cheeburger Cheeburger. Yummy!!!

Syd could not wait to turn 8 so that she could be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. The coolest thing to her is that she will be getting baptized on Valentines day with her bestest buddy Max. These two are just too cute together. The slightly OCD person I am wanted to send out invitations with their pictures on them and put together a program with their pics on them. So my friend Becca took the pics for me with her new zinger of a camera. Loved the way they turned out!!

On Saturday morning I made blueberry pancakes. Paige decided that she didn't want blueberries in her pancakes but on the side. No problem I can handle that order. She finished her pancakes and blueberries and a few minutes later I discovered this......................check out her cheeks!!!:)

Wow Sydney is 8 years old!! I can't believe my little girl is 8!! For her birthday this year she had a hard time figuring out where her party should be. At first she was set on Sweet and Sassy, but after awhile she realized that she probably couldn't invite boys there and since her best friend Max is a boy and another good friend Tanner is a boy she ruled that one out and decided to go to Family Sports center. She was so excited & could hardly wait till her big day!

They loved laser tag, in fact they played it twice!!! Syd's team won!!!

I have been wanting to have a party for some time now but little baby has made it almost impossible until now. So I decided to have a christmas eve breakfast and invite some of the neighborhood crew to join us. We ate Kneaders baked french toast, a beautiful fruit tray provided by pam, a yummy ham and potato dish from Becca, OJ, Blueberry coffee cake(recipe given to me by Suzanne), Muffins, Apple Cider, & Hot Chocolate. It was all so delicious!!! It was so fun to get together with friends. We are very grateful to have these friendships and live in the area we live in.

I love christmas time, especially when all the decorating is done!!!! The first tree you see is our family tree, it is covered by ornaments the kids have made, and other great ornaments they get each year. It is a family tradition to get an ornament each year for christmas, this started from my parents. I asked once why and my mom told me it was so I could have ornaments for my own tree when I left the house, and I am so thankful for that. Me and the girls love unwrapping the ornaments each year and remembering christmas past as we put them on the tree. I do have to admit though, I love the fullness of this tree but I swear under my breath that next year I will get a pre-lit tree!!!!

The last day of school before thanksgiving break all of the Kindergartners put on a thanksgiving feast and program. It was soo cute. Paige was so excited to sing all the songs that she had been practicing and putting on private rehersal sessions for mom. Thursday night all of the girls went to the midnight movie premier of Twilight!! So fun!!! We met at 10pm at Old Chicago for desert and girl talk and then off to the movie. It was great. There were some very cheesy scenes but overall it was a great flick. I just love the story line and edward so how could the movie be anything less then great!!!! Thanks Becca for the pic!!!

Just last weekend JJ's brothers and dad came to Denver to go to the BYU Vs. Air Force football game. Yes just a little vacation for the men. I was so happy that our sister in law Liz and her little guy Owen came to join in the fun. I was not looking forward to being alone on the weekend while the guys were having fun in Colorado Springs. Liz and I had a great time braving the mall and eating at one of our favorite places Costa Vida!!! BYU pulled out a victory so the guys were all very excited!!! We had a great time visiting with everyone!!!

Halloween day we took a road trip with JJ's parents to Colorado Springs to visit the Cave of the Winds. The girls had such a great time spelunking. The cave was absolutely amazing. We took a tour that lasted 45 minutes and the kids would have done more. Afterwards we bought a bag of dirt and let the girls do some mining for gems!!

We headed to the Denver Zoo yesterday for Boo at the Zoo. The Zoo set up over 30 booths of activities and trick or treating. The kids got all dressed up and were very excited for all the treats and of course the animals of which were all out and about (except the polar bear). Needless to say it was a mad house of people there. It made for some interesting people watching!

The girls selected their halloween costumes this year. The girls school hosted a harvest festival this year so the girls were able to test them out early. Sydney wanted to be Violet from the Incredibles ( she wants to have black hair for trick or treating), Abby is princess Aurora, and Paige wanted to be a pink devil (suiting I know). They had tons of fun. What about baby JJ you ask. Well he was wearing the cutest costume of all, a turtle. Did we get any pictures, no so at least we still have halloween to get some.

This is absolutely my favorite time of year. I love the crispness in the air, the smell of spices, and especially the beautiful fall colors. Two weekends ago we took a little adventure south to find some fall colors, we were a little early, the fall colors were not out in full force yet. The girls really wanted to collect fall leaves for an art project so we stopped at a little park to let them fill bags with leaves.

When I was about 5 years old my family traveled to Colorado and we ate at a very fun place called Casa Bonitas. In effort to relive childhood memories when my family was here we decided to take the kids to eat there. For those of you in Utah, it is alot like the Mayan except a lot older and more ghetto. All I had were great memories of this place but, driving to it we all got a little frightened. It is not in the nice side of town anymore. It was still pretty cool inside and the kids really enjoyed watching the divers and the gorilla act. The food was nasty but for some reason the kids didn't mind. Grandma Wright bought them all glow in the dark necklaces to run around with. I have to say I had some flashbacks of my cousins and I running around there with the same awe in our eyes that my kids had. It was a pretty good time. Would I go back....most likely no!!

It was our little guys blessing day Sunday. My family traveled from Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming to see him which was really fun. JJ did a great job and baby J was very still and content during the blessing. We had a fun weekend shopping, playing cards, going out to eat, and just being with family.

Abby could not wait to go to school. She was quit distraught when her sisters were going and she wasn't, After all she thinks she is just as big as they are!! So with her little Kitty backpack and pigtails she walked right in and didn't look back. Time flies by so fast, it seems like it was just yesterday that she was my little baby.

Wednesday Paige started her first day of Kindergarten. Was I emotional? Well, Yes. Seeing my little Paiger getting on the big yellow bus was just a little too much for me. She was so excited not so much to start school, but to ride that bus! Off she went with no fear. JJ met her at school and helped her to class. It has been so nice having JJ home. He has never had the opportunity to see the girls off on their first day of school. School seems to be a hit with both girls so far. Abby is getting very anxious to start preschool on the 2nd of September.

The little man is now 2 weeks old. It seems like he has been with us forever though. The girls just love him, but they do not smoother him which is nice. Yesterday, the baby even peed on Abby (has yet to get mom) and she just laughed and laughed. I was happy she didn't get mad at him. You never know with Abby!!

One week old and Back to school

First of all I had to show off our little man at one week. He is just too sweet except between 12 and 3am. Wont miss that when he sleeps through the night. Thank heavens he is so handsome!!

JJ took the girls to meet and greet their teachers last friday. Syd is a big 2nd grader now and Paige is in Kindergarten. Sydney started school today and Paige starts Wednesday. Abby starts Preschool September 2nd. Wow, all three in school!!!

Saturday night little JJ decided he could wait no longer maybe it was because Abby talked to my belly all day saying " Come out baby JJ so I can hold you, kiss you, and dress you up as Prince Phillip"!!! At 2 am I told JJ it was time to go to the hospital with contractions only 5 minutes apart. I was ecstatic no more drugs, no more bed rest!!! We arrived at the hospital, checked in, and after awhile the contractions slowed down, the nurse stated I may be in false labor! Not what I wanted to hear and I was not going to have that. Sure enough the contractions picked up and baby JJ was born at 2:17 pm Sunday, weighing in at 7 Lbs 7 Oz. and 20 1/2 inches long at only 36 weeks. He would have been huge if he would have been full term. After he was born I had the most overwhelming feeling of contentment. My family is all here!!!

Summer fun

Okay, so it has been awhile since my last post. JJ jr. was trying to make an early entrance into the world at 33 weeks. I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 days and then I have been on bed rest, good news is that I am at 36 weeks now and that the baby can come any time now hopefully (My doctors appt. is Thursday) During my stay in the hospital I was able to get another ultrasound. The baby is huge already weighing in at 6 pounds 9 oz. and you could see his spiky hair and fat chubby cheeks I wish I had a copy to show you all. My mom has came to our rescue and has been taking care of the girls, house, pets, food, ect. She is amazing, I am very grateful she is here.

This last weekend the girls, grandma, and JJ went to Elitch Gardens

here in Denver (it used to be 6 flags). It was JJ's work get together so they all enjoye

d free entrance, food, and fun although it was 103 degrees here!!!

While they were gone I finished the last of the Twilight series books, Breaking Dawn, and can I just say fabulous. I couldn't put it down, now I can't wait to see the movie in December. Maybe by the next post JJ jr. will be here!!!

Paige's 5th Birthday

It is hard to believe Paige is 5!!! 5 years ago today JJ and I were sitting in Sacrament Meeting in Liberty Lake, Washington when the contractions came. JJ had a lesson to give that day during Priesthood and joked earlier that morning that he really didn't want to give the lesson so if I could just have the baby he could get out of it. God must have been listening and sent little Paige on her way. She was born at 8:45 pm. We just adore Paige, her get up and go (and usually never stopping). For her birthday she invited 4 of her very best friends for a mini party. We went and saw the new kids movie Space Chimps, went to Old Chicago for Pizza, and then back home for cake and presents.

I have to say that I have some great friends!!! Pam, Amber, and Becka spent a great deal of time preparing this awesome baby shower for me. They thought of everything, from the yummy crepe bar and appetizers to the cutest M&M party favors that said Baby boy Roth on them. The decor was fabulous and all who attended were so much fun!!! Needless to say this little boy is going to be very stylish. He has more outfits then I do!!!! A big thank you to all you wonderful ladies!!!

Celebrating the 4th of July

Okay so I am just a little behind on starting my blog. My fantastic sister-in-law taught me the ins and outs of being a blogger during her stay with us(okay she set up my whole blog for me with the expectation of me doing the postings and I have been feeling guilty that it has taken me this long. I promise to make up for it though!!!) So I begin my life as a blogger.

We had such a great time during the 4th of July. JJ's little brother Mike and his cute family came to stay with us from Arizona. We went to the Denver Zoo for a whole day. It is enormous!!!
